We build each high-quality chamber individually in a small workshop in Virginia. Each ergonomic drying chamber is made of durable food-safe materials. We engineered the proprietary design for effortless hanging, fast drying, virtually no need for cleaning, and ultra-low low power consumption. Preparing and hanging wet meat and cleaning take only minutes, instead of hours using conventional methods.
Cleaning is a breeze since the meat doesn't touch the chamber, making the process more hygienic overall. Our dehydrators do not use trays that must be scrubbed clean or to which meat strips can cling.
Designs by most other manufacturers include some form of heating element such as incandescent bulbs. Heating contributes to pathogen survivability and does not improve drying times at all. They also waste a lot of electricity. Biltong Boss strongly recommends staying away from biltong dryer manufacturers claiming that such heating elements are needed.
